I was born in Seoul, Korea in 1960 and immigrated to Australia in 1965 where spent my childhood playing cricket, watching the BBC and eating bad food. Oh... and I lost all my Korean language skills as a young child. During my childhood the hot Australian sun dried out all the Korean language in me.

안녕하세요 (An-nyeong-ha-se-yo). 김대규입니다.

Friends call me Kimbo. I’m the guy behind Koreapedia - a social wiki about Korea - written in the world’s great languages.

I created Koreapedia to make it easier for non-Koreans to connect to Korea, or connect to their "inner Koreans".

I was born in Seoul, Korea in 1960 and immigrated to Australia in 1965 where spent my childhood playing cricket, watching the BBC and eating bad food. Oh... and I lost all my Korean language skills as a young child - during my childhood the hot Australian sun dried out all the Korean language in me.

After that I have spent a lifetime reconnecting with Korea - and now I want to share with you all I have learnt during my journey back to Korea - and with your help build Koreapedia as a portal where the world can reach into Korea and share in Korea’s journey.
